Everyone takes part in, leaves no one behind
        Investigation shows that in a typical class, discussion is often dominated by 10 to 20 percent of the students,   i.e., these vocal students ask the most questions, offer most of the unsolicited comments and are more likely to   volunteer to answer the questions posed by the instructor.

        The remaining 80 to 90 per cent of the students contribute only occasionally to the   discussion unless specifically asked to do so by the instructor. Some students never   participate.
